Electromyography (EMG) measurement can be used in pelvic floor training for incontinence. EMG activity measures the rectal sphincter muscle or the women’s pelvic floor muscle and is based on the same principle as measuring surface EMG.
How is it measured?
The EMG Rectal and Vaginal Sensors are used in incontinence training and the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. By means of EMG biofeedback, the person learns to strengthen the rectal sphincter or vaginal muscles.
